Breakfast and lunch, out of a truck

New York style food, parked near you.

Tastys Food Truck cooks the way New York cooks. Big portions, fast hands, and a plate that eats like the corner spot you miss.

The whole idea

Good Food, Good Vibes.

That line is not marketing. It is the order we cook in. The food has to be right first, and then the window has to feel like somewhere you want to stand for five minutes.

Tyquan runs the truck the way a good counter gets run. The plate comes out hot, the order is right, and nobody gets rushed off the curb.

On the flat top

Two services, one truck.

We open for breakfast and we stay open through lunch. Two services, cooked to order, out of one window.

  1. Breakfast

The kind of morning plate New York gets right. Put together while it is still hot and wrapped so it survives the walk back to your truck or your desk.

    Morning service
  2. Lunch

Midday food that actually fills you up. Seasoned properly, stacked properly, and handed over fast enough that you still get to sit down before you have to be back.

Who is cooking

One truck, one standard.

Tastys is Tyquan Robinson's truck. The purpose he set for it is simple enough to say in one line: bring New York style food to a city near you. Not a version of it that got watered down on the way, the real thing.

A truck was the right way to do that. It goes where people already are instead of waiting for them to find a door. Every plate that leaves the window has his name on it, and it gets treated that way.

How we run it

Three things we never skip.

01

Cook it hot

Food should reach you while it is still steaming. That is the standard the window is built around, and it is the one worth protecting when it gets busy.

02

Keep it clean

A truck kitchen is small, which means there is nowhere for a mess to hide. You can see straight into it, and that is a good reason to hold it to a high standard.

03

Treat people right

Good vibes is half the name. Nobody gets talked past or rushed through. That part costs nothing to do and people notice when it is missing.

From the window

What it looks like when we are open.

Hot food handed over a counter with the burner still going behind it. That is the whole picture, and there is not much more to it than that.

Seasoning

Hands on it

Seasoned like it matters, because it does.

Fresh

Made when you order

Cooking starts when you do. That is why it takes a minute and why it tastes like it should.

Portions

Enough to be a meal

You should not need a second stop after ours.

Station

Nothing hidden

Small kitchen, high standard, open to view.

Where this goes

More trucks, more cities.

One truck is the start, not the plan. The goal is Tastys running in more than one city, each with its own crew, each cooking to the same standard this one does.

That means getting this truck right first. Consistent food, a route people can count on, and a name that means something before it gets put on a second window.

One truck today More cities next Same standard

Ready when you are

Find the truck. Get a plate.

We move, so the window is not always in the same place. When you see it open, the food is already going. Come stand in line for a minute and see what the fuss is about.

Good Food, Good Vibes.
